Mike Tomlin announces clear decision on starting quarterback

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is not interested in selling Mitch Trubisky.

During his regularly scheduled Tuesday afternoon press conference, Tomlin spoke about the quarterback's position and said that Trubisky has shown improvement in "all areas" every week.

Even though Mike Tomlin is talking about improving quarterback Trubisky's performance, the statistics don't support it at all.

Trubisky has completed only 60% of the passes in the first three games of the season and has shown issues leaving clean pockets too early.

They need to get much better if the Steelers want to make it to the playoffs this season. However, if things get worse, the cry will only get louder for Kenny Pickett to begin with.

This Sunday, Trubisky will try and make some corrections when the Steelers take on the New York Jets. Kickoff will take place at 1 pm. ET.
